Live-Action Snow White

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news today that Disney is undertaking another live-action Snow White related project - the first focusing on Snow White's sister, Rose Red. This one is a musical (with all-new songs) that will expand on the original story told in 1937's animated masterpiece.

Muppet Babies Making a Comeback

Disney has started production on a brand-new series starring the Muppet Babies (Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Rowlf, Gonzo, Scooter and Animal), who enjoyed their fair share of fame during their original TV run from 1984 to 1991.

The new CG-animated episodes will feature two 11-minute stories aimed at viewers between the ages of 4 and 7. Look for the series to debut on Disney Junior in early 2018!

Live-Action Aladdin

The Hollywood Reporter revealed today that Disney is moving forward with plans for a live-action retelling of Aladdin with 'Sherlock Holmes' director Guy Ritchie. According to THR, the movie will include many musical elements from the 1992 animated classic, which starred the late Robin Williams as Genie.

A Reimagining of The Lion King

The Walt Disney Company announced today that 'The Jungle Book' director John Favreau is working on a reimagining of 'The Lion King' for the big screen. Expect stunning CGI animation, as seen in this year's 'The Jungle Book', and songs from the 1994 box-office smash, which tells the story of lion cub Simba who 'just can't wait to be king' and his envious Uncle Scar, who has plans for his own ascent to the throne.
