Official Synopsis

What if you could talk to animals and understand what they're saying? In Disney and Pixar's all-new feature film "Hoppers," scientists have discovered how to "hop" human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals!

The adventure introduces Mabel, an animal lover who seizes an opportunity to use the technology, uncovering mysteries within the animal world that are beyond anything she could have imagined.

Hoppers Characters' Names

Hoppers' protagonist is Mabel Tanaka: an animal-loving 19-year-old Japanese-American college student who "fights for what's right and speaks her mind". Thanks to the secret, revolutionary technology developped by her teacher Dr. Sam and her assistants Dr. Nisha and Conner, Mabel transfers her mind into a robot beaver to go undercover into the animal world.

Fearless Mabel befriends many animals on her undercover mission, including a hungry bear named Ellen; a dopey little beaver named Loaf; a green lizard named Tom; and a kind and patient regal beaver named King George, who wears a tiny gold crown. Together, they become known as the "Pond Crew", and King George teaches Mabel the "Pond Rules".

Hoppers' main villain is Jerry, the greedy mayor of Mabel's town. He has plans to build a highway through the animals' habitat: a glade with special meaning to Mabel, who used to spend time there with her grandma.

Mabel unites the animals to fight back against the humans to help save the glade, but is dismayed when the Council (composed of the Insect Queen, the Fish Queen, the Bird King, the Amphibian King and the Reptile Queens) decides to "squish the humans".
